Ridge Forensics is the interscholastic speech and debate team of Ridge High School.
Throughout the school year, the team travels to tournaments at the regional, state, and
national level.
Students compete in the following events: Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Student Congress,
Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, Declamation, Prose Reading, Poetry Reading,
Oral Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, and Duo
Interpretation.
The Ridge Forensics team competes with the New Jersey Forensic League, the Newark
Catholic Forensic League, and the National Forensic League.
Any Ridge High School student may audition for the team. Auditions are held annually
during the month of September. The tournament season begins in September and
concludes in March with national championships in May and June.
