ENTRY FEES:
Entry Fees will be assessed as follows:
School Registration Fee $25.00 - waived for school travelling from 100+ miles away.
Each Lincoln-Douglas Debater $40.00
Each Public Forum Team $80.00
Each CX Team $80.00

Checks should be made payable to “RHS STUDENT ACTIVITIES.”

Friday dinner and Saturday lunch will be provided to all competitors, judges, and chaperones.

All fees will be assessed on Friday, December 2nd at 6:00pm. Any changes or drops will be
assessed accordingly.  No adds after the deadline will be permitted unless space permits. All
payment must be made at registrations; purchase order forms are an acceptable form of payment.

JUDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Lincoln-Douglas: One qualified judge per three entered debaters.
Public Forum: One qualified judge per three Public Forum teams
CX: One qualified judge per two Policy teams.  
There are no CX judges for hire.

Junior/Senior Debaters with established experience/records may be used as 'novice' judges only
in LD, CX, AND PF.

Hired Judging Fee $150.00.  There are no 'hired' judges available in CX.  Please provide judges
to cover your entire CX entry.  

We ask that you supply as many ‘qualified’ judges possible.   A qualified judge is able to clearly
define his/her standards as a judge both before the round and during an oral critique. Please no
novice/untrained judges. We want to ensure the students receive the highest quality of judging
possible. Judges will be required to stay one round past elimination of their debater(s).

AWARDS
Awards will be given to all outround participants, pending entry numbers, including speaker
awards in LD, CX, and Public Forum.  

HOUSING
Housing will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis for students with a original cap at 150.  
For coaches, judges, and other adults, a block of rooms has been secured at the following hotels:

Up until November 28th, coaches may call 800.321.2211 and reference the Ridge Debate
Tournament Room Block at the Basking Ridge Courtyard by Marriott to make reservations at the

**Please note that if you are looking to book their reservations online and attempt to make your
reservation to check in prior to December 9, 2011 or choose to stay beyond December 10, 2011,
the system will respond that there are no rooms available.  Call 1-800-321-2211 to make your
reservations.

MEALS
Students, coaches, and judges will receive dinner on Friday night and lunch on Saturday
afternoon.  Concessions will be available to purchase throughout the tournament.

ENTRY DETAILS
Entries are due Friday, December 2nd, at 11:59pm.  Fees will be fixed on December 2nd.  
Schools who drop after the entry deadline of December 2nd but before Tuesday, December 6th
will still be assessed the original entry fees.  Judge/Student drops after Tuesday, December 6th
at 11:59pm will be subject to a $25.00 fine in addition to entry fee. Drops/Changes after
Wednesday, 11:59pm will be subject to original entry fee, $25 fine, and judge quotient
responsibility.

Registration - Ridge High School - 2:45-3:30pm.
Round I - LD, CX & PF - 4:00 - 6:00        
Round II - LD, CX & PF - 6:00 - 8:00     
(if entry numbers warrant, we will be adding Round III to Friday night).

Saturday, December 10
Round III - LD, CX & PF - 8:00am SHARP  
Round IV - LD, CX & PF - 10:30
Round V - LD, CX, & PF - 1:00
